The BU IT Digital Business Partner will serve as single point of contact (SPOC) for all the JPBU and JOBU's technology and digital needs.

The role requires a person who can combine an ability to partner with senior stakeholders at all levels in the organization who feels comfortable both at discussing strategy and roadmap as well as getting hands on when required and who has a demonstrated ability to get “things done” on behalf of his/her stakeholders through a formal and an informal network in a global matrix IT organization.

・Strategic Positioning ・ The role is an industry relevant strategic technology leader for Takeda. This leader will help shape and drive growth innovation and differentiation across BU while maintaining global alignment through existing standards and emerging technology

・Commercial IT Business Partnering ・ Align and collaborate with Takeda business and IT leaders. Become a SPOC for JPBU JOBU’s BU. Act as an advisor and coordinator in identifying and delivering relevant solutions that add business value

・Commercial IT Strategy ・ The role will be responsible for influencing and understanding the business strategy. Taking this business strategy and defining how it can be enabled with the appropriate technologies (applying existing emerging and new IT standards)

・Capability Development and Co Creation ・ The role will drive business value across key commercial capabilities including but not limited to market access product launch patient services and digital engagement HCP services marketing sales and analytics. The role should act as a trusted advisor to the business with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to guide and co create new capabilities that are directly relevant to BU’s commercial growth strategy

・Integration with IT ・ The role will collaborate with other Japan based BU IT Digital Heads within Commercial IT to shape IT vision and direction. He/she will be expected to demonstrate leadership and strong people development to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Takeda IT

・Operational responsibility ・ The role will be responsible for day to day BU Commercial IT operations and performance while also delivering committed portfolio of Commercial projects. Given that this role acts as a SPOC between the business and IT it will be expected that the candidate understands and coordinat

・Understand and know the Japan Pharmaceutical and Lifesciences environment and the underlying IT Digital solutions being consumed by the industry

・Help to influence and improve the solutions so that our business partners customers and patients have the best possible experience with Takeda

・Know the IT solutions deployed in JPBU ・ both the Commercial IT solutions and all technology that supports the user base

・Help improve the end user experience by working with relevant IT teams (for example help improve onboarding/offboarding processes)

・Understand the broader IT organization (Key when acting as a SPOC) so that the appropriate teams can be engaged correctly to deliver the best solutions

・Network with and get to know the key team members across all IT functions (CTUX UAMS Enterprise Digital R D Corporate IT Global Manufacturing and Supply etc.) so that demand and solutions can be best coordinated especially those areas not directly in the scope of Commercial IT

・Be the best business partner and continue to build you and your teams business acumen

・Understand the Takeda business its geographies its franchises the disease states and the products and services we provide

・Actively participate in BU’s strategy and roadmap definition ensuring technology digital are key enablers in the discussion. Be a technology evangelist

・Be an active part in the launch of new products and also the established brand teams proactively suggesting ways in which technology can maximize the value for society our patients and Takeda

・Always be identifying and actioning how the business strategy initiatives and goals can be best enabled using our standard IT solutions. Identify and act appropriately when significant gaps exist between the business strategy and the standard IT solutions available. Always be collaborative and transparent

・Manage business demand

・Be able to translate the business strategy and roadmap into specific IT (Commercial and non Commercial) demand

・Coordinate with the relevant Commercial Business Process Experts as well as other Global IT functions to enable BU’s core capabilities (Sales Marketing Patient Engagement Non personal engagement Analytics Insights)

・Build and maintain IT roadmaps in alignment with BU’s strategic plans ensuring those roadmaps are aligned in the region and globally
